The Survival Day Knockouts Reconciliation Carnival has grown into one of Queensland’s most significant community sporting and cultural events. Since its inception, the carnival has served as a space to honour First Nations survival, culture, resilience and unity, while celebrating sport as a tool for healing, inclusion and empowerment.
Now in its third year, the carnival welcomes men’s, women’s, and U18s teams from across Far North Queensland, Cape York, Torres Strait Islands, and regional Australia. It continues to foster connection and pride while spotlighting the incredible talent emerging from Indigenous communities.
For many teams, this event is more than a tournament—it’s a chance to stand tall for their people, share culture, and build legacy.
